When did your journey into photography start?
As a child, I wanted to become a librarian. This was part of a fantasy I created in my imagination, thinking it would be a creative job that would allow me to dream all day. But that wasn’t very realistic, and it never worked out.
I started taking photos from a very young age, and it made me feel great from day number one. It was the only way to make me fully happy, so I've never been able to stop - it's more like a basic need in life to me.
Where are you from, and where is home today?
I'm from Barcelona, now living in Castelldefels, a small city close to Barcelona. Castelldefels is home for me today, it's a place that always took care of me, and where I feel safe. Home is also where my cat Darcy is. Barcelona became a very difficult place to live, very hostile, it's the antithesis of home basically. Being permanently in tension can be inspiring in some way, but I don't feel that's healthy at all.
What inspires you to create today?
It's the only thing that keeps my brain sane. If I wasn't doing photography, I would still do anything else related to art.
What's the story behind your work?
It's a sexy summer still life that happened in my old terrace when I was still living in Barcelona.
